EARLY RETURN TO WORK

Injured employees generally recover faster when they return to work. You can work with your claims adjuster and the treating physician to consider ways to to bring your employee back to the workplace as soon as possible. If the employee cannot perform his or her usual job, you may temporarily modify the job or create a job that will provide work during the recovery period. Such a program can help you to:

• Increase potential for a quick resolution of the claim
• Reduce or avoid permanent disability
• Reduce temporary disability payments
• Reduce medical costs
• Reduce or avoid litigation
• Discourage fraudulent claims
• Avoid the replacement and training costs of hiring a new employee
