WORKPLACE SECOND-HAND SMOKE

Starting January 1, 2007, associations with employees must protect their employees from second-hand smoke by prohibiting smoking in all enclosed spaces in the workplace.

This includes lobbies, lounges, waiting areas, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms. Labor Code §6404.5; Gov. Code §7596
